Regarding the storyline, Netflix has provided a glimpse into what fans can expect from these episodes:
“The fall of 1987 marks a new chapter. Hawkins bears the scars of the Rifts’ emergence, and our heroes are driven by a singular mission: to locate and eliminate Vecna,” the official synopsis states. “However, Vecna has disappeared – his location and intentions remain a mystery. To complicate matters, the government has imposed a strict quarantine on Hawkins and intensified its crackdown on Eleven, forcing her into hiding.”
“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a familiar sense of dread resurfaces. The final confrontation is imminent – and a darkness more formidable and lethal than anything encountered before looms. To put an end to this nightmare, every member of the team must unite – standing together one last time.”
Netflix previously revealed the episode titles for Stranger Things Season 5, which will pick up three years after the events of Season 4’s conclusion.
