Kylie Kelce Opens Up About Postpartum Fashion: Still Wearing Maternity Jeans at 8 Weeks
Kylie Kelce openly admits to continuing to wear her maternity jeans well into her postpartum period.
At 33 years old, Kelce shared her candid thoughts during an episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast on Thursday, April 29. The recent mother of four, who welcomed her youngest daughter Finn, aged 8, with husband Jason Kelce on March 30, reflected on her postpartum style. When asked whether she prefers skinny jeans or maternity jeans, Kylie responded with honesty.
“Honestly, I still wear my maternity jeans,” Kylie revealed. “I haven’t worn skinny jeans in a while, but they’re still hanging in my closet, waiting for the day I can comfortably button up my old pairs again. And I hate to break it to you, but I think they’re making a comeback. I’ve seen influencers sporting them again.” Indeed, fashion icons like Alix Earle have recently revived the trend, often seen in social media series alongside other influencers such as Remi Bader and Brigette Pheloung.
Kylie added, “On a different note, I want to share a little postpartum fashion hack my producer Emma told me about.” She explained that she had been using a hair tie to keep her jeans from unbuttoning, as they were still a bit snug, until her producer suggested pulling out her maternity jeans once more.
“I’ve been sticking with that approach,” Kylie explained. “I’ve only recently started to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans again, and I plan to keep doing so until I can comfortably button them up without any tricks.” It’s worth noting that many women tend to hold onto their maternity wear for several weeks or even months postpartum, depending on their recovery and comfort levels.
